Ok, back to work today! It’s just a short week and then another long weekend. Hope you all had wonderful holidays! For us, we spent a lot of time at home playing, catching up on RedBox movies, and lounging around. This Saturday Night Live skit always makes me laugh about Christmas. It’s pretty accurate. We had Chinese food and watched movies.
Everything is a bit less chaotic around the house as the hubs is on winter break for two weeks. There is less madness in the morning, less rushing, and less stress. Oh happy day for all of us! I hope you all got in some good workouts these last few days. It has offically become to cold for me to run outside on the weekends. Who knows, maybe we will have some 40-50 degree days in Chicago next month. Another mild winter would be just fine for me. I can handle the 30’s and 40’s but the 20’s, forget it. I’m not that crazy! Anyways, I thought I would share this Tabata workout with all of you. I like to do it before and after a run. If you don’t know what a Tabata workout is, check it out here. I love that each round is only 4 minutes. Who doesn’t have 4 extra minutes?
Adding Tabata into your workouts is very easy. You can use it as a warm up to a run. (Just make sure your muscles are warmed up a bit before jumping into a full Tabata) I like to view Tabata as an extra “boost” to my workouts. What I really love is that you most of the time you don’t need any equipment or much space! I use a great free app on my iPhone that you can get here.
