Working OUT of my Comfort Zone and GoMacro Bar #giveaway and WINNERS!

For weeks, maybe even months I have been “talking” about trying out The Daily Method studio down the street.  I’ve been curious about the buzz of the Barre method for sometime but didn’t know if I could really fit it into my schedule.  Last winter I picked up Bikram yoga and while I loved the weekly sweat and stretch the 90 overly congested class that I attended on Sunday mornings wasn’t wonderful.

Well, I popped into The Daily Method on Monday after school to ask a few questions and got myself into an 8:30 class on Tuesday morning for a trial run!  Knowing that this would not be cardio focused at all I also got up early Tuesday and ran 4 1/2 miles because I wanted to sweat!

After dropping Sara off at school I arrived at class, got a tour of the space and was set to go.  I was told to grab a set of 2 pound weights and was a bit hesitant since I always lift with more but I soon realized EVERYONE in the class had 2 lbs weights.  I also got a ball and mat.

The class was NOT overly crowded and I loved the flow, and work and the instructor attention!  Let me tell you ladies, 2 pounds was PLENTY!  This was incredibly intense and wonderful all at once!  I learned a few things right off the bat!

1) My lack of stretching after running, because of  time constraints leaves me very UN Flexible!

2)  I’ve never felt inner thigh burn this intense in my life!  Holy moly!

3)  I’ll be back for more!  They have some new members specials going and I am going to take advantage of them!

I’ll keep you all posted on my journey in this program.  I am quite confident that this will make me stronger as I approach the spring running season!

Now, moving on… I am so excited to tell you all about a great bar that recently became totally vegan and is also gluten free!
