WIAW: Woo Hoo!!

Happy Wednesday and a little shout out to my little one who turns 4  1/2 today!  This is first year she understands the 1/2 birthday!  Growing up 1/2 birthday’s were a big deal so I got her a cupcake that I’ll cut in 1/2 and a balloon.  Do you celebrate 1/2 birthdays?  Hard to believe we are 6 months are away from the big 5!  It goes so fast!

Peas and Crayons

Have you ever had a day when you knew you were overbooked had things to do and places to be but no matter what it just all had to get done?  That was kind of my day yesterday!

Alarm off at 5:10 no time to snooze!  Up and downstairs in the basement for my pushup series with my app.  Yesterday I did 103 pushups and then 30 minute core Tabata workout.  I could have taken the day off but I knew my day would involve sitting, so working out was the best choice!

Quick shower and got ready, packed snacks for the day, prepped dinner in the crockpot, made my Vega Protein smoothie (they are saving my life these days in the morning) and Sara and were out by 7am!  Woo hoo!

ImageVega protein smoothie with extra greens, frozen banana and almond milk!  I’ve learned that even when the outside temp is in the single digits, a green smoothie still hits the spot!  Call me crazy!  Oh, I also drank coffee will enroute to my early meeting!

7:45 meeting #1 and then 8:45 I headed to an all day training that stared at 8!  Just one of those days!

A full day of training where lunch was provided.  I didn’t love all of it but I had a bit of a veggie Pot Belly Salad along with my snacks!

I’ve been enjoying these hemp seed bars that I made over the weekend for a mid morning snack!  I also snacked on Cuties!  More on those Friday and my new Trader Joes multi color carrots and homemade smoked paprika hummus!

All great snacks to get me through the day!  Post training I had just enough time to get a balloon and a cupcake for today for Sara and then it was time to pick her up!  Thank goodness for this amazing dinner that I threw in the crockpot at 6:45!  A double win!!! This slow cooker chicken curry had sweet potatoes and chickpeas in it!  Plus I had to add a side of brussels!


It was good to take a deep breath after dinner and just relax! Shockingly enough I even had time to blog!  Woo hoo again!

 It was one of those days where I got everything done that I needed to get done with still time for an end of day break and cup of tea!

    I think the key to getting through the crazy days (for me) is the 5:00 am (sometimes earlier) workout!!! And, like you, I try to have something for dinner in the crock pot so I don’t have to think about it at the end of the day when I’m wiped out!
