WIAW- Prepping and Gearing Up for Thanksgivikkuah

Happy Wednesday! It might as well be Saturday because from here on out it’s a nice long break with family and friends!  I had a busy day yesterday!

What I Ate Wednesday: FALL into Good Habits

Sara decided around 3:45am that she was awake and ready to start her day. Not normal or usual for her as she is a great sleeper.  Hubs and I took turns getting her back to bed.  At 5:15 I just decided to get up and start the day!

Morning workout:  3.2 mile run and treadmill hill climb and lots of push-ups!

Breakfast-Recycled picture but this is what it consisted of… times two of course!

Dropped Sara off and had 3 hours to do ALL of my shopping!

Wheat grass shot at my produce store… stop #1!  I was feeling exhausted and sluggish from lack of sleep so I though the wheat grass may help!  I don’t mind the aftertaste.  Have you ever had a shot of wheat grass?

Four stores later!…..

Quick larger snack as I had a Thanksgiving luncheon at Sara’s school. I had a feeling I really wouldn’t be eating much so I opted for one of these Two Mom’s in the Raw Granola Bars and some pomegranate seeds.

I also used the few minutes I had to “unsubscribe” as that was the challenge for Elf4Self!  Unroll.me rocks!  Great way to unsubscribe from all that pesky  junk mail!

Then I headed to Starbucks as I needed a coffee to power me through the rest of the day!

It was just one of those days!

Turkey lunch was loads of fun once I got to Sara’s school!! Check out my little turkey!

I had an afternoon meeting so I ate a big ole honey crisp apple while enroute to my meeting.

Picked up Sara and we headed home to officially kick off the LONG holiday weekend!

Dinner was butternut squash soup and roasted veggies!  Brussels OF COURSE tossed with Trader Joe’s whole grain Dijon mustard in the final minutes!  Seriously AMAZING!  My new favorite way to eat roasted veggies!

After dinner, I did a little more Thanksgiving day prep!   The Hubs and I are seeing Catching Fire today so I wanted to get as much done as possible!  YEAH!!!

I’m taking off the rest of the week to be with family and friends and unplug but I will be back on Monday!

What a productive day! I’m hoping, as my son and daughter-in-law are coming for the holiday but staying at my ex’s while I keep their dog, I don’t get woken early on Friday by Aurora. 🙂

Wheat grass shots are highly needed this way this morning, they sell them at your grocery store? What a great idea.

  4. Love those 2 moms in the raw bars! I need to try roasting my Brussels in Dijon mustard. What a great idea. We are planning to see Catching Fire, either today or tomorrow, too. Have fun!

I find that if you don’t put any food off limits you can indulge a little without over eating or binging 🙂

Happy THANKSGIVING, Laura and fam! 🙂 I try to stick to my sleep and workout routine…tgiving kicks off ski season so it’s not too hard! And I make sure I eat something healthy before hitting up parties so I’m not starving when I get there!
