Happy Wednesday! I’m just happy it’s the middle of the week and we are getting closer to the weekend! Thanks to Jenn for hosting another week of WIAW.
It was another busy Tuesday yesterday but this was one of the highlights!
Yup, we got a brand new fridge and freezer. Our old one wasn’t broken but it wasn’t pretty. I hoped on my treadmill for 30 minutes in the morning before I had to get busy emptying out the fridge! It was a quite a mess as the guys were coming to my house at 7:30!
Thankfully, they were done just in time for me to run Sara to her Y class. I wasn’t super hungry so I just had one of my JimmyBars to tie me over.
I know, not much for breakfast but it was actually quite filling and did the trick.
Dropped off Sara, ran home to clean my kitchen and get a ton of things checked off the “to do” list. I literally sat in my kitchen, paid bills, caught up on email, blogging and made a bunch of phone calls! I also decided to throw dinner in the crock pot so I wouldn’t have to worry about it later.
Snack time was an apple! I’ve been eating 1-2 of these a day! Sometimes 3! They are just so cute!
Grabbed Sara from class and ran to the store with her to pick up a few things and then we got home and had lunch. I had my protein packed quinoa salad with some crunchy and filling Mary’s crackers! I was really craving hummus but I didn’t have any! Boo! Need to make some ASAP!
I had a few things to take care of in the afternoon so I was thrilled when we finally walked in the door at 5:30 that dinner was DONE!
A friend of mine had given me that jar of salsa so I threw in some chicken breasts with the salsa and let is slow cook all day. When I got home I added black beans and served in a massive bowl with raw zucchini noodles (sooo good,) garden tomatoes and a little nutritional yeast! Hit the spot! I think Tuesday is going to be taco night in our house for awhile! Anyone else do Taco Tuesday’s?
I found one last So Delicious vanilla mini when I was cleaning out the freezer! Major bonus. I didn’t take a picture of it because it was gone in a minute! Need to get to Whole Foods and buy more ASAP! Ever have them? They are the prefect size for a little dessert!
The biggest moment was watching the FINAL two episodes of Dexter. Yes folks, we managed to get through all 8 seasons in about 3 months! Our social and night life is just that exciting! Sad it’s over but it comes with perfect timing as the fall shows are all returning! I have Blacklist on DVR and Law and Order SVU returns tonight. Not to mention Homeland is on Sunday!! Woo hoo! Who’s ready for some fall TV?
What’s on your DVR and what are you most excited about watching?
