A Whole Lot of Love, Happiness and Joy

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!

We are still enjoying this marvelous weekend together and have a full day of pool, play and fun lined up!  Hoping the afternoon rain that they are talking about doesn’t cause too much disruption on our fun!  In the meantime check out some highlights from the last few days!

I posted this pic below on Instagram on Friday and gave a lot of people some new info.  Did you know that Athleta gives a 30% discount to fitness professionals?  This could be or not be good news for myself!  In any event I treated myself to some new bathing suits and barre/running gear!20140524-154024-56424663.jpg

My niece, sister and brother-in-law are still in town and we are enjoying every minute of family time together!20140525-160800-58080053.jpg

We busted out the sprinkler on Sunday too!  So much joy!20140525-160801-58081815.jpg

On another note, I woke up Saturday to a totally dead phone.  No charge, wouldn’t charge… nothing!

My run on Saturday was sans phone, RunKeeper, and my typical music.  Instead I went out for what I think was about 12 miles and listened to old music on an old iPod nano.  My run ended up being amazing!  My legs felt strong, the weather was perfect.  I have NO idea of my pace except that I left my house at 8:20 and it was about 10:05 when I returned.  I took a similar route to one I did a couple of weeks ago.  I felt energized and happy.  It felt good to just RUN.  No time, no pacing…. just got out there and did it!  Has anyone else ever done that?

Today is Day 22 of The 30 Clean!  I had no problem staying away from sweets and stuff this weekend.  I even found myself cutting cake on Sunday with frosting on my fingers and just washing it off!  But don’t worry I had some excellent eats this weekend!

Ok, just one last picture and I am done for today…

Love all things Athleta! I was shopping there yesterday and found the cutest black dress. Too bad they didn’t have my size. I should have added kale to my garden!

  6. I stopped using a Garmin or similar and don’t time myself except in races. I use Strava if I want to know how far I am going (like this weekend in North Carolina). It is VERY liberating. I run by feel. I do ask my friends the pace at the end if they have Garmins. 🙂
