It’s another week of WIAW and I thought I would spend todays post talking about the eats and drinks I ate while in Cabo!  Even though we just got home last Thursday, Cabo seems like a memory of the past!!

What I Ate Wednesday: Fun Food & Fitness

We ate and drank very well at our all-inclusive resorts.  This was the first time we stayed a smaller resort so the food was much better!  Every morning the Hubs and I would do  Tabata Bootcamp and then head to breakfast!  We did attempt the fitness center one morning but the machines were old and the place was crowded.  We did much better on our own!

IMG_5195I brought my Salba Chia and my Green Vibrance over to the smoothie counter!  Each morning I picked out a bowl of fresh fruits!  Mango, pineapple, papaya, bananas, strawberries and brought them along with “green juice” to the smoothie counter. Green juice was a resort speciality made of spinach, celery, pineapple, cactus, and who knows what else!  Breakfast was a green smoothie and an egg white omelette with loads of veggies!  It was awesome!  I miss my smoothie and omelette man!

Lunch was often ceviche, fish tacos and an abundance of guac, fresh veggies and more fruit! We often enjoyed our lunches poolside!  So relaxing!  Dinners were more fresh fish, sushi and veggies!  As I said, the food was really pretty good!  You can’t complain about all you can eat sushi and guac!  You also can’t beat it when you are eating with ocean views and beautiful sunsets!

Drinks!  Well, every morning we’d enjoy room service coffee and drank it on our balcony!  Day time drinks were an occasional Corona and in the evening it was my famous Ali-Rita!    I stayed away from the sugary fruity drinks because I knew it wouldn’t end well.  I did try a Coronita (combo of beer and margarita) but I didn’t care for it!

Desserts and sweets were a disappointment on this trip!  That probably was for the better though!  Nothing exciting or wonderful on that end!  No worries, as you can see I didn’t starve on this vacation!

Do you typically enjoy eats on vacation?  Have you ever brought Chia/Flax or other powders to add to your meals when on vacation?
