Vacation Highlights and Wrapping up the Year

Hello Friends!!

Vacation was amazing!  We got back late Saturday night.  Travel with the kids was the hardest part but all worth it!

We took some new family pics too!

We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets!  B’s sleeping was all off but his naps were great.  He’s catching up this week and dealign with a yucky stomach bug!  I ran on the beach and on the treadmill!  The sun didn’t rise until after 7am and sometimes if I wanted to get a workout in, it needed to happen before 7am!
We were early risers and everyone knew our kids and loved them!  Sara spent hours a day in the kids club because she loved all of the activities and we swam 2-3 times a day!  We never left the resort and it was sunny and 85 every day!  Totally perfect!

I was nervous about travel and sleeping arrangements with the kids but for the most part everything worked out just fine!  We had so much fun we are probably doing it all over again next year!

It’s so hard to believe that we are in the final days of 2015!  Without a doubt this this has been one of the most amazing years ever and I’m sure next year will be fantastic too!

2016 is HOPEFULLY going to mark my return to the Chicago Marathon!

It’s a BIG goal but 10 years after my first marathon, I am determined to make 2016 a year focussed on strength, speed and racing.

I’m looking to spend the first part of the year working on strength!  More on those goals another time!

For now, it’s a time to look back on 2015 with a huge smile and as we say in my family, “happy tears.” 2015 was the year of the miracle!

Tell me what your goals are for 2016?

  2. OMG you are so tan. We won’t talk about what color I am. Then again, my husband is practically see through at the moment–don’t shine a light on him, he will glow. Looks like you had such a great time, and YAY for Chicago Marathon! I won’t be in Chicago that weekend because of a wedding (sad face) but I might make the tail end on Monday. Let me know if you need a coach 😀

      Thanks Susie!!

I will for sure let you know! I’ve never thought about getting a coach but I might have to look into it! Hoping to run with Team Determination as I always told the Hubs I would run my next marathon with them after we lost his mom to cancer a couple of years ago. Happy New Year and hope you are feeling good!
