Ultimate Coffee Date: February 2016

Ahh another month is here which means we are another month closer to spring and more importantly summer!!  While I’ve expressed my jealously to those of you who have experienced a major snow storm, I still love summer the most!

Thanks to Coco @ Got 2 Run 4 MeLynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother for hosting the party!

I’m kicking if off early since it is Friday and who needs to wait until Saturday for coffee 🙂

If we were having coffee I would tell you that Hubs and FINALLY have date night tomorrow.  We had some poor planning in January and attempted to do the whole last minute babysitter thing and it failed MISERABLY!  So this month we have sitters lined up!  We are absolutely at the point where B can’t go out to restaurants and well we figure if we are going to spend the money on eating out we might as well enjoy ourselves…. without KIDS!!  We are headed to Stained Glass Wine Bistro tomorrow night thanks to an amazing opportunity that I am getting through the Chicago Food Bloggers!!  Expect some drool worthy pics on Monday!!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that Sara and I are getting out haircuts tomorrow!  We do it every 3 months or so and it’s long overdue! Can’t wait!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that Sara and the Hubs are headed to the Daddy/Daughter Dance tonight.  It’s pretty much light a rite of passage around here.  They are both so excited!  While they are gone dancing the night away I am thinking about binge watching season two of Transparent!  Has anyone finished it?  I loved season 1 so I don’t expect season 2 to disappoint!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that last weekend it was mild enough to run outside both days and hopefully it will like that this weekend again!!  My outside runs got me super excited about spring 1/2 marathon training and summer marathon training.  After not racing for over a year I am getting antsy and so excited!!

If were having coffee I would tell you that B is such a different child than Sara was!  He’s all boy and into so much trouble!!  Climbing… testing the limits and the boundaries.  I can’t take my eyes off him and child proofing this time around has taken on a whole new meaning!

Note that I didn’t put up on that table… he climbed up there himself!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that next weekend is B’s birthday party and I haven’t even ordered the cake or the food!  Ugh… need to get my act together.  Thankfully the place, entertainment and people are all set!  Hey, at least I remembered to send out the Evite!?!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I love throwing random dinners together!  Last week I set out to make all the dinner from what was in my freezer and we totally did it.  Of course I also had fresh veggies and sweet potatoes but last night after I put B to bed I threw together another amazing dinner.  Well.. amazing to me and just for me since Sara was out to dinner again with my parents and the Hubs was at work thing!

Trader Joes Riced Cauliflower, Broccoli and Farmers Market Paleo Veggie Burger!

Speaking of my parents, If we were having coffee I would tell you how HAPPY we all are now that they have returned from their month in Florida!!  Yeah mom and dad!  I firmly believe and have always said that it takes a village to raise kids and while I loved that my parents got out of the cold for the month of January we were very much missing a part of our village 🙂  Happy we are all back together now!

So if we were having coffee, what would you tell me?

I hope you have a lovely evening out tonight! We don’t have kids at the moment, but we have friends who do, and I know that while they adore their children, child-free time is really important to them.
