As you all probably know, February has been declared as Heart Health Month. According to the CDC, heart disease is a major problem. Every year, about 715,000 Americans have a heart attack. About 600,000 people die from heart disease in the United States each year. That’s 1 out of every 4 deaths. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. (source)
Heart disease is serious but it’s also preventable. Living a healthy lifestyle that includes a proper diet and exercise can help prevent you from being at risk for heart disease. We know more today then we did 10 years ago about the food we eat. Knowledge is power, and we all have choices when it comes to how we lead our lifestyle. If you aren’t aware of how to prevent heart disease you can read more up on it here.
In honor of Heart Health month I designed this workout below. If you don’t exercise, it’s NEVER too late to start. Always remember to consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.
