MIMM: Truths

Happy Monday–

Random thoughts on this Marvelous Monday morning!

Truth… Sunday’s are HARD.  I love the weekends but as soon as I get up Sunday morning my TO DO list in my head starts getting to me!  There is grocery shopping to do done, food to be prepped and things around the house that need to happen.  I feel like I run run run. Yesterday, I felt like a taxi driver running Sara all over the place! From the time I got home from work on Friday until last night, my computer remained in this state… the emails pile up and catching up just never happens.

Truth… I have MAJOR anxiety when I watch sports.  Specifically, when watching the Cubs.  In fact I am starting this post as a distraction to the game since I just need a few minutes to get my mind off my beloved Cubs and stress they are causing me.  It’s a good thing that Sara has gone to bed… I’m swearing like a sailor during these playoffs! Anyone else with me?

Truth… I used to think my outdoor running threshold was 40 degrees.  Not sure why I had that temperature but for some reason I thought that if it got much colder then that I would hit the treadmill.  Well, it was cold this weekend and both days I made it outside both days.  Not only did I make it outside but my runs were amazing.  I had the best runners high afterwards.  If only runners highs lasted all day!  The trees are turning and it’s so pretty right now!  I love fall running and I CAN run even when it’s 3o- some degrees outside!

Truth…this little man is super serious about his broccoli and his food! #dontmesswithme

Truth… I have a serious addiction to nut butter and I can’t wait to try this!

Truth… I leave in less then 3 weeks for a much needed vacation to Arizona with a friend of mine.  I’ve got all sorts of emotions going on. I’m nervous, excited and scared all at once!  However, I can’t wait for some sunny summer like temps and countless hours of relaxation  and fun!!  I’m headed to Sedona and Scottsdale with trip to Grand Canyon.  So excited and I know it will be here before we know it.

Truth… I’m in denial that it’s nearly November and the holidays will be here soon.  Not soon after that I know that the little guy will be 1.  Where did 2015 go?

Truth… I have about 10 hours of TV on my DVR and the shows keep growing.  I want to take a day off from work/life and sit around and binge watch TV in sweatpants.  It will never happen though….A girl can dream!!

Truth… I wish B would figure out how to sleep through the night a bit better!  We have good nights but there are nights he still gets up twice.  I guess I shouldn’t complain since he eats and goes right back to bed but I’m missing sleep!

Truth… This is Sara’s first FULL five day week of school.  So many holidays and days off.

Happy Monday and Go Cubs…

We are HUGE Cubs fans!! I was lucky to be at the Cubs vs cardinals game when they clinched. The last two games have made me sick. I turned it off last night. It’s so upsetting because my dad is their biggest fan (he goes to almost every home game) and he just wants them to win the World Series before he dies. I hope they win at Wrigley!

OMG that had to be amazing– I was having flashbacks to 2003 last night. They need to start swinging those bats and NOT striking out!! Such anxiety!! My dad is also the biggest fan ever which is probably why I am such a big fan! They need to get back in this race. Jake was a mess last night!!! 🙁

  2. BOGGS IS AWESOME. I know how you feel about weekends, but I am more of the kind that just shuts it OFF during the weekend. And then I catch up Monday. I get anxiety watching certain sports. It is really hard for me to watch my friends compete at horse shows. I know too much, I know what to look for, and I know how much each.step.matters.

No lie the series against the Cardinals was fab. This one vs the Mets? So stressful!I had to turn it off. Thought maybe I was the bad luck charm. Plenty of great running to do in MUCH colder temps! Zero is my cutoff.
    Enjoy AZ!

  4. Hi,

I believe for girls there is no off day as there are so many responsibilities on their shoulders all 7 days of the week. Your post reminded me that yes 2015 is going to end soon and it’s time to tighten my seat belt and do something productive.

  5. Truth: Just came across your blog and love it! 🙂 I laughed when you talked about your running threshold being 40 degrees … that’s TOTALLY what I think, too! Haha! I absolutely love Fall runs, but I’ve got it stuck in my head that if it’s under 40 degrees, it would be too cold and turn into a bad run. I think I might need to rethink it. 😉 Thanks!
