MIMM: Thanksgiving Highlights, Food, Family and Fun

Happy Monday Friends

We had a fantastic and marvelous time Thanksgiving break but it’s time to get back to reality!
Let me share some of the highlights!

First off… these two…

Although I am thankful each and every day for our complete and amazing family of four I love watching my kids interact together.  Moments like these were truly worth the wait!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays and this year it did not disappoint.

I made a big ole herb roasted turkey this year and loved it!! We had lots of tasty dishes and sides including this amazing brussels dish that I made and this yummy salad!

I’ll be making both again!  What did you make?

We have a really fun Thanksgiving tradition in our house that was created by Sara a few years ago.  During the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving everyone that comes into our house creates a “turkey” handprint.

There was lots and LOTS of eating and lots of over indulging!  I did manage to get lots of good runs in over the week… both on my treadmill and even one outside yesterday (AMAZING!!)

Hubs and I got out on Friday and saw Hunger Games!  It was the first movie I have seen since B was born! Did anyone else catch it this weekend?  Loved it and I am kind of sad the series is over.  There are so many great movies out there right now but I am fairly confident that I won’t get to any of them.  Just my reality!  Did you see any movies this weekend?

We also went out for dinner and drinks!  Much needed!

The little man who is not so little hit the 10 month mark on Saturday!

More pics to come but this one makes me laugh.  He’s seriously into EVERYTHING.  These outlets are covered but he’s determined to figure out a way in.  We did minimal baby proofing with Sara.  It’s a whole different ball game with this boy!

Did you shop?  I did some Amazon shopping and Target shopping.  Hanukkah starts on Sunday and I need get everything organized for the holiday and our Hanukkah.  We also leave for Mexico in less then 3 weeks!!  So excited but SO much to do and a little nervous about flying with both kids.  Any advice?

Overall, the extended time off from work was great!!  Just 3 quick weeks before winter break!

Little man was sick most of break with a bad cold and fever and he is cutting a few teeth!  You would have never known though…

Tell me how your Thanksgiving was!!

  2. That last picture of the little dude is TOO much. I don’t have any experience with girls, but both of my parents (who had one of each) say that boys gets into EVERYTHING. I have an 18 month old boy and I can at least attest to that!

Also, LOVE the handprint tradition! I love the opportunity to start our own traditions with my kids!

  5. What a fun post! Your kiddos are darling, and I loved seeing those colorful, happy handprint turkeys all over the window! So great! We’re honored that our salad was part of your festivities, too – things like this just mean the world to us and make all the hard work seem worthwhile – thanks a million for that! 😀
