We had a whole lot of excitement over here on this marvelous weekend….
First… this lady finished first grade…so we had to celebrate that BIG accomplishment.
Then…. she turned 7…
So… naturally we had to celebrate that some more!
We had hot hot temps on Friday and Saturday so we kept cool by hitting the splash pad, pool and eating lots of cold treats!
I think the highlight of Sara’s birthday was a game of Pie in Face on Saturday night….. Definitely a whole lot of laugh and playing this game outside the way to go! Have you ever played?
Sunday was MUCH cooler and we enjoyed being outside and spent the afternoon at the park!
On the running front I finished up week 1/18 of marathon training. I opted not to do the “long run” on Saturday with CARA because it was Sara’s birthday and because the distances were between 6-8 miles starting at 7am. I got out on Friday morning around 5:15 to get my miles in and then did another 4 on Saturday morning.
Today, I am attempting to do a back to back workout which I hope will be my summer Monday norm. A quick 3 mile run around 5am then making a return to The Dailey Method for their 6am express class. I’ll be back home by 7am.
I’ve been waking up naturally around the 4:45/5am mark but yesterday I “slept in” until 5:30. It felt great…. Seriously though I need to work on this…. darn internal body clock.
All in all a fantastic and wonderful weekend! If this weekend was a sampler of the months to come then we are in GREAT shape. Did you miss my giveaway on Friday? Be sure to head over and get in on the action.
