#MIMM and 34 week #bump update

Happy Monday everyone!

Despite it being a little bittersweet that we are all back to the grind today, I am happy to be back at work and back to a routine!  I loved our time together these last 16 days but I am excited to be moving along in the month of January!  I’m linking up with Katie for another MIMM!

Yesterday was a full day at home.  It was a snowy, soup making, food prepping, movie watching, popcorn and hot cocoa kind of day and it was AMAZING!

Now for a little baby update!

How far along:  34 Weeks 3 Days… or 39 days to go… give or take.

Notice a change?  🙂

Due Date:  February 13, 2015

Total weight gain: 21-22 pounds

Sleep: I THINK I am sleeping OK.  I have good nights and some bad nights.  I’m up still every 2- 2 1/2 hours (usually about 3 times a night)  I have no problem falling asleep but often my bathroom breaks gets the baby moving and then there is a full on dance party in my belly which can keep me up.  I enjoyed staying in bed most days this break until after 6am and sometimes as late at 7am!   5am wake up calls are going to a challenge this week!

Exercise:  As I mentioned on Saturday, I got cleared to resume exercise after I passed my non-stress test on Friday.  I had a great workout at the YMCA on Saturday and at home on Sunday! I look forward to continuing with regular exercise as long as possible!  Nothing too crazy… I’m walking at an incline at home and using the elliptical at the YMCA… plus, lots of weight training with low weight and high reps!

Miss anything: A lot has become more challenging over the last couple of weeks.  Putting on my boots often require assistance, getting out of bed often requires a little bit of rolling and of course I need frequent breaks and time to relax!

Movement: The real question should be when is this baby NOT moving!

Food cravings:  Not a ton of cravings these days.  In fact, the acid reflux and heartburn is really bad and my appetite has really decreased.  I’m never really hungry but filling my body with lots of good foods, veggies and fruit!  Soups is still my go to meal!

Yesterday, I made a batch of Oh She Glows 10 spice veggie soup.  Some for lunch this week and some for the freezer and made this chicken and kale soup in the crock pot for dinner.  The snowy weather had me wanting meals in a bowl!

Since I had everything at home, I also made a batch of Oh She Glows Granola.. some for the fridge and some for the freezer!

Anything making you queasy or sick: More of the same… fish

Belly Button – in or out?  Out…  Sara asked me yesterday where it went and if it would ever come back.

Wedding Rings – on or off?  Still on!  By this point in my pregnancy with Sara they were both off!

Stretch Marks:  No stretch marks but my belly has been really itchy this week!  Still using loads of coconut oil and lotion!

Happy or Moody?  Happy, but I tend to tear up at least once a day about something on TV, the radio or just when my mind wanders.

Gender:  I still feel girl… the Hubs says boy.  This means one of us will be right!

Labor Signs:  After week 32 being a bit more active things have really quieted down!  I’m perfectly happy with that!… at least for the for the month of January

Anything Else:  After cleaning the kitchen big time over break I have slowly started getting things ready for the baby.  I just ordered bedding over the weekend and things will start to come together in the weeks to come.  Planning to start stocking piling the freezer with meals this month too!

Looking Forward To: Enjoying the month of January as a family of 3!  The Hubs and I will try to get a date night in weekly this month, Sara and I will try to get some quality girl time and there will be lots of family time too!

I’m wondering how many more of these bump updates there will be before there is a baby!!

Have a great day everyone?  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Are you back at work after time off?  Happy to be back or wished your had more time off?

  1. Question: is it hard to do ab workouts with the baby? 🙂

  2. You look so great! I’m loving the bump! Also, I’m right there with you on the soup thing. It’s not even snowing here in VA yet, but there is something about winter and soup that are just a perfect match. Plus I love just being able to throw everything in my crockpot and hit GO!
