I had full intentions of actually getting a post up yesterday for MIMM but it didn’t happen! Ben came down with a virus/bug/teething… who the heck knows Sunday night and our planned schedule for Rosh Hashanah got totally changed!
First let me start off by saying despite the little guy not being himself on Sunday afternoon all ALL night into Monday it was a fantastic weekend!
Hard to believe that last weekend we were sweating and beating the heat inside. This past weekend was truly amazing weather wise! Running weather was PERFECTION!
There have been plenty of local races that have been going on since B was born but for some reason I never signed up for any. I talked about it but then always decided it was such a hassle with pumping and nursing and timing was never right. I don’t like to race in the summer since the weather is so unpredictable. So when I found out about a 10K that was literally in backyard I decided to just do it!
I signed up Sara the day before the race for the 1 mile kids run! She did great!!
The weather was picture perfect!!! All races should have weather like it was on Sunday and despite being unsure of how I would race I just got out there and ran the best I could. My last race was a 1/2 marathon in June of 2014, just days before I found out I was pregnant.
Well, I ran great. It was such small group of runners but I did place 2nd overall in my age group was the 3rd female finisher. I finished my 10K in 47:30 which was a 7:40 average! Yeah for a good come back race!!
In just a few weeks I’ll be in a new age bracket!! #bringon35
I probably spent a few hours in the kitchen on Sunday and was glad when my cooking was done.
The Hubs and I managed a fast date night on Sunday since we were unsure about the little guy.
Yesterday, was a beautiful day and while I spent the spent the morning inside after our doctor visit we all managed to get out for fresh air and to enjoy the holidays!
Happy Tuesday everyone!
