Life and 26 week #bump update

Whoops… sorry friends I didn’t mean to disappear for the full week.  Life just got busy!  Sara and I had a blast with friends last weekend in Omaha! It was great to get away and wonderful to have much needed girl time with Sara and friends!  We came home Monday afternoon and then it was a crazy busy week!  My sleep is starting to go downhill so as soon as Sara goes to bed I am pretty much down for the count… more on that later!

It’s hard to believe that we are 1 week into November.  I’m certain that these next few weeks till fly by.  The first quarter just ended at school and I am wondering where it went!  How are we a 1/4 of the way done with the school year?

Anyways, I’ll try not go missing like that again but sometimes it just happens!

Let’s get to the BIGGER news… no pun intended there.

How far along:  26 weeks

Due Date:  February 13, 2015

Total weight gain: As of last Thursday it was 14 pounds.

Maternity clothes: About 75% of the time.  I’m still squeezing into non maternity workout clothes and of course lots of open sweaters for the fall and winter season.

Sleep:  It’s on a downward spiral!  I’m in bed between 8:30 an 9pm– NO SHAME at all and fall asleep within minutes. I get up 1-2 times to use the bathroom and I’m usually awake for the day around 4am.  I stay in bed until 5 though.

Exercise:  I think at 26 weeks I have hit the end of the road for running.  Lots of stretching and pulling when I run so I have toned it down big time as I have to listen to my body.  However, I am still getting in 4-5 workouts a week.  Right now I am really enjoying a lot of speed walking at very high incline intervals on the treadmill.  I aim to get in a couple of miles first thing in the morning and with the high incline it works up a pretty good sweat.  I am also using a lot of  my smaller weights (3-5 lbs) with high reps!  I’m thinking I should look into some yoga as the I get close to the 3rd trimester.  Any suggestion?

Miss anything:  Oh boy I’m having major issues with sitting upright these days.  I have bad rib pain on my right side and back pain as well.  Walking and standing up helps but it’s quite uncomfortable.  I’m barely 5′ 2″ and have a very short torso… I fear that things will only get worse!

Movement: All the time… I could do without the 4am wake up kicks but I still love it!

Food cravings: Still a lot of the same.  Crunchy foods like apples, peppers and celery… also loving air popped popcorn with sea salt!  My new favorite after dinner treat!

Anything making you queasy or sick: More of the same… fish and chicken are the big ones and the smell of coffee makes a little ill as well.

Belly Button – in or out?  In…. but on the way out very soon

Wedding Rings – on or off? On!

Happy or Moody? Happy…. just so tired!

Gender:  It’s going to be a big surprise!!! But despite this pregnancy being 100% different I’ve been having lots of girl feelings.

Looking Forward To:  Have a weekend with about ZERO plans!  I’m hoping to finish up Sara’s room this weekend.  Last weekend while we were away Sara moved into her new room and we had both her room and the baby’s room painted.  All that’s left really is transferring her closet and cleaning up the baby’s room.  Things are coming together.

So tell me… any thoughts on how to get some relief for this pain in my ribs and back?

What do you have planned this weekend?
