Where I’ve Been, 4 years of Blogging, and Swanson’s Vitamins Giveaway

Well Hello Friends! I’d say it’s been a while… a long while actually since my last post.  As it turns out working full time and finding time to do everything else is flipping hard.  So hard that by the time the kids are in bed all I want to do is sit on the couch and chill out.  Give me some time to catch you all up and I promise if you make it to the end of the post good things await you! When I last posted I was coming off my PR and BQ from the Chicago Marathon.  I was ready to sign up for next year and all I wanted to do was run but as the cold weather and extreme darkness settled in my 5am dates with the treadmill became harder!  So once the runners high left my  body I decided to not sign up for Chicago even though I’ve had many movements of regret and will hope for the best that come next fall I’ll get into Boston.  I know my chances are SLIM since I qualified by only 1 minute and 17 seconds but I didn’t want to train all summer for Chicago and then train all winter for Boston. So next spring and summer I will focus on shorter distances like 10k’s and 1/2 marathons and perhaps this time next year I’ll be preparing to train for Boston!! In the meantime, I have been challenging my body with the Runners World Thanksgiving to New Years run streak and let me tell you….  It’s a challenge.  39 days of running of which most of the miles on my treadmill!  Yikes, I probably should have done the Memorial Day to 4th of July run streak!  Nevertheless, I am getting it done! So that’s the update on running…. As far as life well….. Working full time has been wonderful and challenging.  Weekends are spent getting stuff done that I used to accomplish during the weeks.  Our mornings are truly a S**T show getting all of us out the door between 7 and  7:15, but I am learning to laugh at it!  Kids are great and Sara is now 7 1/2 and B will be 2 in about 5 weeks!  Not entirely sure how that happened!  He’s a totally boy and talks non stop!  It’s insanely wild how different boys are from girls!!    But when they aren’t fighting over our attention or toys they really do love each other!img_0105 img_0029 img_0005 And a few days ago I reached the 4 year milestone of blogging.   I always chuckle when I look back on this post that I wrote just over 4 years ago. Obviously, blogging isn’t at the top of my to do list these days and I go back and forth with whether or not to keep it up but in the end I find myself coming back to it if even just a handful of times a year.  Of course you can always catch me on Instagram where I post more frequently because life doesn’t always allow for me to sit down and write these posts.  #thankgoodnessforwinterbreak I’m also thankful that my friends over at Swanson Vitamins reached out to me again during this busy but wonderful holiday season!  Swanson has everything you need for your pantry, kitchen, medicine cabinet and more.  I’m truly thankful for Swanson’s because this mama has depended on online shopping a whole lot more since I went to back to work!   Swanson has an amazing line of organic spices and baking baking products that is perfect for your kitchen.. and well coconut oil.  Yep a 3lb jar of it (of course there is smaller too) but in my house we go through that stuff fast!!
