How the 100 Burpees played out and my move to the self-hosted blog world.

So, I made the move to self-hosted yesterday.  Would love to hear your feedback!  Is everyone receiving their emails?  Did you have to change anything?

So, yesterday was the 100 burpees challenge on the Healthy sELF challenge.  I had my burpees all planned out like this.

Then I started working out and I was feeling really good so I re-adjusted my plan and it my workout ended up looking like this.

Have you ever set out with a goal in mind and changed it? I like planning my workouts, and for the most part I do my best to stick with them. However, I love when I have the extra energy to run a little harder, further and longer.  I was on my final set of 10 burpees when Sara came downstairs to count and cheer me on for the final stretch!  She is always there to cheer me on!

So, for those of you who are self-hosted, I’d love to hear about good wordpress plugins that you use.  I’m specifically interested in a good recipe one!  Hook a girl up, and fill me in. I’m learning a lot of this stuff all over!

Please note that if you subscribed to my blog via email, you will need to re-subscribe to continue to receive daily emails.

I’ve got LOADS of great giveaways lined up for the rest of this month.  Make sure you are checking in with me daily, so that you don’t miss anything!

Have a great Friday everyone!

I didn’t do my burpees yesterday 🙁 But I will incorporate them into my treadmill/strength workout today!!! I was hoping to run outside, but up here in the northern burbs of Chicago we got nailed with about 8 inches of snow!! Although running in the snow might be fun……Hmmm……..

Melissa, I’m in the Northern burbs too! I don’t even attempt runs in this weather but I had fun chasing my daughter in the snow the other day!

  2. Love this burpee plan! I was planning to do mine tomorrow and I’m going to use this as a guide…thanks!! Recipage is awesome and you will get lots of page views from it. I also use EasyRecipe plugin. Good luck!

Thanks Kim, I’ve been playing on ZipList. Trying to get the hang of all these plugins. Any others to suggest that are really good?

  3. Great job on the burpees!

I used Blue Host and spent A LOT of time on the phone with them! They took care of everything and made it all happen– just make sure you have a chunk of time carved out! Good luck! I’m very happy so far!

I’m in the process of going self hosted this week too! I use WordPress and I am looking forward to some new features that the free templates didn’t have.

I’ve got a long way to go on burpees. They are so hard!!!!
I like this idea of breaking them down along with running. Do you do this at a track?
