Hemp Hearts= Heart Happiness

Last week I was participating in a TweetChat discussion about heart health!  We hit on lots of topics including diet, exercise and the warning signs of heart trouble!  There were several of us who chatted about clean foods in our diet that help promote a healthy heart.  As you all know I am a huge fan of Chia seeds.  My family thinks I sneak them into everything!  I wish I could, but they would bust me and probably protest!

Manitoba Hemp Hearts are another amazing way to add protein and omegas to your diet.  These soft-textured seeds taste a bit like a sunflower or pine nut. Per serving, Hemp Hearts contain 10g of easy to digest protein and 10g of Omegas. Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts are made in a hemp-dedicated facility by dehulling non-GMO seeds. Once shelled, Hemp Hearts are immediately packaged to seal in the freshness.  Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts are all-natural and contain NO additives, fillers or preservatives (source.)

How do I use these little bits of goodness?  Well, I sprinkle them on my salads, yogurt or oatmeal.  Or, you can just eat them straight from the bag.  They have a pine nutty kind of flavor but when you mix them into things you really can’t taste them.  Hemp Hearts are so easy to use and make an awesome addition to your already healthy meals!

Do you like them?  Have you always wanted to try them?  Well the amazing folks at Manitoba will give one lucky winner a bag of their Hemp Hearts.  You know the drill, enter below from today until Thursday.  I will announce the winner on Friday.
