This Health and Fitness Survey has been floating around for months. I’ve seen it all over the blog world and so I decided it would be fun to do it as well! Feel free to re-post and answer accordingly too!
Alright, let’s have some fun!
1. Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing temps and snow?
Bikram is for heat and humidity but my ideal running temp is 60-65 degrees!
2. Have washboard abs or flat abs?
Haha, washboard abs after you have a baby!? I don’t think so, I’d say they are pretty flat but they could certainly be flatter. I’m always telling myself that I need to work on my core more!
3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
The doctors!! Although I am not one to take any kind of unnecessary meds I always enlist the advice of doctors. I have had great experience with alternative forms of medicine like acupuncture though.
4. Cardio or strength?
Cardio is what I do (running). However, I love strength training too. That’s why I love Tabata Bootcamp and HIIT. It can cover all of it!
5. Cravings: Protein or carbs?
Carbs without question but I crave and love the whole grain and the healthy carbs. I’m a HUGE quinoa fan.
6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Jillian! I’d love to get my butt kicked by her in a “last chance workout”
7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Fro yo for sure!! We all love it!!
8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Right now all of my additional strength training is upper body since my runs are covering my lower body. In a good week I like to have 3 runs and 3 days of Tabata Bootcamp with the focus of 2 upper body days and 1 core day.
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
5 months ago I would have said food with protein but now I think it’s 50/50. I love fish, chicken, bison and of course nut butters and seeds. However, I’ve had some great experiences in the last couple of months with vegan based protein powder! It’s a great addition to my green smoothies in the morning.
10. Lunges or squats?
Lunges for sure! I sometimes question my form with squats and while I know how to perform a squat I have always favored the lunge.
11. Sweet or salty?
Sweet! Homemade baked goods are my weakness but I have also found that you can really satisfy your sweet tooth with healthier alternatives! Dates, coconut sugar, honey and maple syrup can really do the trick for me!
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
50/50 on this one! When I am working out at home I could care less but when I am training a client I like to be a little more coordinated. I don’t spend $$$ on workout clothes though. I love the Target workout line. I have running tanks that are 5 plus years old that are in perfectly good condition!
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
Body pump! I’m petite– heavy lifting isn’t for me. I don’t have a desire to bulk up.
14. Yoga or Pilates?
BIKRAM!! Loved my Sunday morning sweatfest in the winter and spring! I’m taking a break from it now in the summer because of all the added running but it’s a great way to stretch and detox
15. Nike or Adidas?
I had been running in Adias shoes since 2006. Now, I am in the Mizuno Wave Runner shoes. So far so good!!
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
I use my treadmill during the winter months but seriously running outside is what makes me happy.
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
I visit both frequently but have a love for Trader Joe’s. Plus Sara loves it there too!
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
Summer! I love watching track and field and gymnastics. However, figure skating is my favorite winter Olympics event.
19. Exercises classes or Exercise videos?
Tabata Bootcamp on my laptop in the morning is all I need!!!
20. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Roasted! Great flavor and texture. I roast veggies all winter and then come spring I move it all out to my grill.
Your turn! Pick a question and leave me an answer in the comments!
