Happy 2016!! January #UltimateCoffeeDate

It’s that time of the month!  Happy Saturday friends and Happy New Year to all of you. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get this post up today since the little man has been under the weather but his long naps have allowed me some extra computer time.  So grab a cup of coffee and let’s catch up!!  I have so much to share with all of you!

Thanks to Coco @ Got 2 Run 4 MeLynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother for hosting the party!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that my NYE was spent home.  I was in bed by 10 (which is late for us) and spent the evening in my sweats.  It was perfect.  We ordered in, watched one of the Netflix early countdown videos and relaxed.  I can’t remember the last time I was I was up at midnight!  Yesterday, we went to our friends house for their annual New Years Day party. Brunch at 10am is more my style!

If we were having coffee I would tell you after a few weeks of lots of holiday eating and drinking (love my tequila and lime juice) I am ready and needing to clean up the diet.  I’m joining Laura at Mommy Run Fast for her 21 day reset and it starts on January 11th!!  If anyone wants to join in on the fun or wants more info you can check it out here!  The 21 Day Reset Challenge is for anyone who wants to replenish their body with delicious, whole foods and cut out the processed food for 21 days to feel and look your best!  I’m doing it because I know I ALWAYS feel better.  Laura’s reset is also going to focus on four phases of strength training that can be incorporated into my running!

I’ve said it before but I will keep on saying it throughout 2016, I want this year to be the year of the marathon!!  Chicago… I’m coming BACK for ya!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that this second week of break has been VERY low key.  The little man woke up Sunday morning with a bit of stomach bug and so we spent lots of time cuddling.  As it turns out not only did he have a little stomach virus but he also had an ear infection and he cut 4 teeth this break!  Despite all of this he was still pretty amazing and spent this last week playing catch up on this sleep!  No one likes seeing their kids sick and thankfully he is on the mend!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the little man is now in his 11th month.  We are less then 4 weeks away from the big ONE!!  I can’t believe we are wrapping up his first year.  I’m looking forward to celebrating his big birthday and seeing how he handles cake!!!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have a special “girls trip”  planned for Sara and I in two weeks to Florida.  She has NO idea!!  I plan on waking her up the morning we leave for our weekend trip.  We are going to visit my parents.  I’m so excited for our time together and to see her reaction!!!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the Hubs and I are going out tonight with friends and it’s been quite a long time since we enjoyed a meal without children.  Although our dinners in Mexico were always picture perfect, they we rushed and we usually ate in shifts since the little man didn’t like sitting for long meals.  Hello date night and drinks!

My mom and I tried to disappear from the NYE party we were at early, but we were discovered and coerced to stay til after the countdown. So much for introverting! 😛

Good luck on your 21 day challenge! :]
