Friday Five

It’s Friday!  Woo hop!! Race weekend is here and I’ve got some fun products  and exciting things to tell you all about.  I didn’t do my Friday 5 last weekend because of the blog hop.  It’s important to note that some of these were sent to be before The 30 Clean and know that clearly the hubs and Sara are not living my The 30 Clean rules.  Ok… moving on

So Delicious is at it again!! I was thrilled when I discovered So Delicious creamers last year for the hubs.  Personally, I’m fine with coffee and homemade almond milk but the hubs used to pour all those icky International Delight creamers in his coffee!  Anyways, So Delicious has done it again with their new shelf stable coconut milk creamer and coconut milk iced lattes!  These new products will be hitting the stores SOON!  Be on the lookout!  The hubs is a huge fan of the creamer and he’s just waiting for a warm day to enjoy an ice cold latte!

The new Cococcino beverages are USDA certified organic and made with Organic Fair Trade coffee. Available in Latte and Mocha, they are a quick, delicious and dairy-free way to enjoy a little java on-the-go – any time, anywhere!

So Delicious Dairy Free has more great products for the java lover. Creamy and frothy, our coconut milk creamers are the real deal – no trans fats, no dairy derivatives, no soy, and no high fructose corn syrup.

I mentioned yesterday that my long runs have been fueled by Energy Bits!  I tried them out over a year ago and loved them.  Made from 100% organicallly grown, NON GMO spirulina algae and loaded with 40 nutrients, ENERGYbits® algae tabs have the highest concentration of protein in the world (64%) all for just one calorie per tab. The are 30 Clean approved and  20 seems to be my magic number for ultimate fuel! They will be part of my 1/2 this weekend along with my dates!

3) Let’s all hear it for Pop Chips!!

Who likes them?  They are a family and household favorite over here.  The hubs packs them in his lunch for school Sara enjoys them as well.  My favorite flavor is the sweet potato!!  Shocking right??  Popchips wants to know the who, what, when, where, and why of your popchips love story! visit or tweet/facebook/instagram us using #moretolove and share your story for the chance win a sweet (potato) date night!

Did you know that just in time for summer popchips is introducing our brand new, 15% more to love bags of delicious-ness! 15% more means more of the great flavor you expect from popchips, more chips to share with friends and family (if they’re lucky), and still only half the fat of regular fried chips. did we mention you get all this at the same great price? summertime and the snacking is easy!

  • available in flavors, such as sea salt and barbeque potato, and nacho cheese tortilla, popchips are the  perfect snack to keep you looking cool and feeling satisfied. whether you’re having a picnic in the park, heading out on a summer vacation, or relaxing by the pool, we’ve got all your summertime snack needs in the bag.

This email was sent to me yesterday regarding my race on June 1st.  The North Shore 1/2 has been my favorite race for years.  I believe this is year 6 for me.  Although I am not quite certain.  Last year was a miserable day and it rained for the first 5 mile and I and to stop and pee.  Nevertheless I PRed BIG TIME and my time from last year has earned me a spot as an “elite” runner!  I’m pretty freaking psyched!

5) In the last two weeks two brand new grocery stores have opened up by me and I am in heaven.  Yesterday afternoon I hit up the new fruit and vegetable market and nearly squealed with delight when I saw a full mountain of kabocha squash!!  You better believe I chopped one up and roasted one for dinner and in case you were wondering, I plan in eating the leftovers for breakfast with some nut butter of course!!  YUMMY!!

So tell me on this wonderful Friday, what do you have going on this weekend?  Anyone racing?

I’m a fan of pop chips but have yet to try my tin of energy bits. The smell alone ( and the fact I know they are made with seaweed just turns me off…hah).

  9. I tried Energy bits once and I didn’t really notice a difference…maybe I need to take it a few times? They also a bit pricey which turned me off as well. No racing for me, hoping to rehab this calf and try and get 7 miles in! My email is if you wouldn’t mind sending me that pesto recipe we talked about 🙂

  14. I’m not racing this weekend BUT I love EnergyBits as well as So Delicious ice cream. LOL. It is very very delicious. Coconut creamer sounds interesting. I wonder if my coffee-loving mother-in-law would use that instead of the other stuff? Kombucha squash? Clearly I have been shopping in the wrong place – how do you prepare that?
