Friday 5!

Lots happening everyone and I apologize for going MIA for the last couple of days.  My week was jam packed and my cup was over flowing a bit.  Something had to give and so blogging took a back seat for a couple of days.  There are so many exciting things happening over the coming months and I do feel that there will be times when I may not be able to keep up with the blog as often as I would like. Therefore, I have some awesome guests posts lined up.  Don’t worry though I will still be popping in quite a bit to bring you great recipes, giveaways and so much more!

1) ZOOMA Ambassador Badge 2014

I am thrilled that I have been selected once again to be an Ambassador for the ZOOMA women’s race! Last year I had the chance to be a part of this group and it was awesome.  I’m look forward to sharing more about ZOOMA with all of you as well as an upcoming discount for the Chicago Women’s 1/2 marathon and 10K

Without question this winter has been beyond brutal and cold.  I swear that the only time I am warm is when I am running on my treadmill.  I often think about giving up coffee but now is not the time.  I drink tea several times a day.  At least twice!  Usually a cup after lunch and then always before bed!

Spring is just around the corner, and with it, the return of dandelions. A common nuisance in the garden, dandelion can actually help the body cleanse and detoxify. Traditional Medicinals recently came out with two new dandelion teas

Dandelion has become increasingly popular recently for its ability to support the body’s natural detoxification process; in fact, Traditional Medicinals Organic Roasted Dandelion Root has become the best-selling tea in natural food stores nationwide.

•           EveryDay Detox Dandelion* – inspired by a classic European herbal formula, a blend of dandelion, licorice, fennel, and peppermint help stimulate the liver while providing support to the kidneys.
•           Dandelion Leaf & Root* – From roots to shoots, this enjoyably mild and sweet tea includes supports kidney function and healthy digestion.

The teas are so tasty!  I’ve been enjoying the Dandelion Leaf and Root after lunch and have been trading off between the Nighty Night and Easy Now before bed.  I enjoyed the Easy Now the other day when I was feeling a bit stressed.  Tea is so soothing and so comforting to me.  Are you a tea drinker?

February is 1/2 over which means that I am REALLY trying to think spring!  Forget pools and sandy beaches!  I’m thinking about playing at the park, taking walks outside, bike rides, RUNS and smelling the flowers! How do you THINK SPRING?

It’s Valentine’s Day!  We can’t forget about that!!  Sara’s been counting down this day for WEEKS!  I’ll be honest, she’s been talking about it for months!  Girl is so excited to bring her Valentine’s to school today and celebrate with her classmates!  Hubs and I have a date night tomorrow night and I couldn’t be more thrilled!  Are you celebrating Valentine’s Day?

5) Despite not having much time to cook and not being home much this week I would like to get some cooking done this weekend!  There have been some amazing things that I have pinned on Pinterest! I’m dying to make these Peanut Better Balls.  I’m just scared I will eat ALL of them!  I also want to make these Granola Bites.  Maybe it would just be better for me to eat some peanut butter out of a jar.  There is NO shame right?

Photo: Memories made over several spoonfuls of peanut butter!

Have a great weekend!!

Disclaimer:   I received these teas from Traditional Medicinals.  All opinions are my own
