TGIF!! Who else is feeling that way this morning?
I have some exciting news to share with all of you! Last weekend, I received news that I had been selected to be a part of the ZOOMA Chicago Ambassador Program!
ZOOMA is unique among other women’s races in that it is literally “run by women” (pun intended!) ZOOMA’s founder and executive director is a woman, mother, and runner, and the staff are all women. A panel of national running bloggers serve as advisors to help us in our primary goal–to execute events that cater to the real needs and wants of actual women runners (source.)
ZOOMA is a womens race series that “celebrates the power and beauty of all women”. They focus on promoting womens health and fitness by encouraging them to sign up for events. ZOOMA races are a celebration of women!!
The ZOOMA Chicago race will take place on Saturday, August 10th at Montrose Harbor! Nothing beats a run along the beautiful Chicago lakefront! As a homeowner in the suburbs, I can’t tell you how much I miss my runs on the lakefront. As a runner you can choose between signing up to run a 1/2 marathon or 10k!
Check out the sweet race swag they are offering! If you register before June 2nd.
Over the next five months I will be giving you more information about the ZOOMA CHICAGO RACE. If you are interested, I highly recommend signing up as this race WILL sell out! Oh, and just because ZOOMA is run by women that doesn’t mean that men can’t race. ZOOMA welcomes both men and women to participate in all ZOOMA events.
Also, ZOOMA and some of their amazing partners have a fantastic contest going on RIGHT NOW! Click here to sign up and get in the ZOOMA “Run to Chi-Town Sweepstakes.
Please let me know if you are planning to sign up or if you have questions!! I’m so thrilled to representing such a wonderful organization!
Have a great day everyone! I’m hoping to actually get outside this weekend for a run as I am SO ready to breakup with my treadmill! The Lincoln Presidential 1/2 marathon is just over 3 weeks away! Can it please warm up over here in Chicago!?!
