Day 1 at the #BLResort Chicago!

Good morning everyone!

Happy Tuesday!

My mom and I arrived yesterday at the Biggest Loser Resort in Chicago around 9:30 in the morning and had a full day!  The Biggest Loser Chicago Resort opened up last year but relocated this past May to Bloomindale, Illinois in the Indian Lakes Hilton Resort.


We began with a weigh in… well my mom went through it using an amazing piece of technology called the InBody 520.  It gave her a complete detailed breakdown of body fat, water weight, BMI etc.  I didn’t get to partake in this because it would not have given me accurate information due to my pregnancy.


After our orientation we had the morning to participate in some lectures about the InBody as well as the chance to meet the other people in the resort.  It’s a smaller group this week which has been pretty cool.  There are 6 other participants here and they all have wonderful stories. Some are first timers, some are repeat visitors.  Everyone has different stories to share and the community and camaraderie is pretty amazing.

After completing almost a full day I can say that they do an excellent job hitting on all these points.


After lectures this morning which are vital for first timers here we had lunch!



An awesome salad bar and then soup and lettuce wraps to follow.  I didn’t take a picture of all the food but had a great meal.  There are nutritionist here on staff at every meal and also doing lectures so whenever you have a question they are there.  At the Biggest Loser Resort your daily caloric intake is about 1500 calories.  That includes 3 meals and 2 snacks.


Our afternoon included some intense workouts and a late afternoon pool class called poolates.


My mom and I were both not thrilled about the pool class but we did and I am so glad we did.  It was a full hour of core and strength in the pool and a wonderful stretch!

The trainers gave me medications as needed for my pregnancy and I never felt like I was missing out!

We also had a chance to get into their amazing gym with brand new equipment.


We will have more time in there today!

Dinner was great and very filling!

They served shrimp, artichoke and mushroom quesadilla

I had the vegetarian version of it with spinach and beans.  The great salad bar was also served.



Of course there was dessert too!


After dinner everyone heads back to their room.. and for good reason!  Exhaustion!

Today we start bright and early at 6am with yoga.  I will likely be hitting the gym instead of the yoga and then more workouts and lectures!

  1. This is all so interesting! I would love the chance to check it out in person. Maybe that will be a post-baby goal for me 🙂
