Currently: January

Yikes, it’s been over 3 months since I last did a “Currently” post.  Is it just me or is time flying by way to fast!!?!

Running:  I’ve been spending a lot of time on my treadmill and I really don’t mind it.  Thanks to some new playlists (Amazon Prime Music!!) I can typically crank out 15-20 miles a week.  Mornings are incredibly busy and I am usually up before 5am to get the workout in and ready for work before the kids wake up! On my list is having someone come to the house to “tune” up my treadmill.  It will be 6 years old soon and while it works perfectly fine I don’t want anything bad to happen to it.  I NEED my treadmill!!!

Non-Running Workout:  Thanks to Laura’s Runners Reset I have been doing 1-2 strength workouts a week.  I am also doing a plank a day and crushing my pushup challenge!  Yesterday I did 39 FULL pushups!!  I love these monthly mini challenges!  Anyone got one for February?

Excitement: I am officially a member of Team DeterminNation and can’t wait to run 26.2 miles in Chicago this October.  I kicked off my fundraising this week because I am planning to make every step and every mile truly mean something!


Garden Item:   Dreaming about farmers markets and gardens…. In the meantime I am so happy that my favorite Farmers Market Veggie Burger man does deliveries to to the area twice a month.  Local peeps!  Check out all the amazing local and organic food that The Eating Well has to offer!  These are my favorite veggie burgers!!

TV: Well, I finally got through Homeland and The Affair and next on the list is LAST years House of Cards, (I know I am SOOO behind) Transparent and Making a Murder.  Not enough hours in the week to watch TV!!!

Kitchen Gadget:  My new food processor!!


In love with it!  I made the little man avocado pesto for lunch this weekend.  As you can see he was a fan.  Speaking of kitchen gadget, don’t miss my $100 Kohls Gift card giveaway!


Not-So-Healthy-Indulgence:  I’ve been doing pretty good with my Runner’s Reset but did enjoy myself while in Florida!!  Favorite treat… ice cream of course!!!  Sara and I both loved “Death By Peanut Butter”


Healthy Indulgence: This week I am challenging myself to make healthy clean dinners using what’s in our freezer and fridge!  We have an extra freezer in the garage and I organized on Sunday!


We need to eat what’s in there and make room for other food! Have you ever done something like this?  I’m trying to NOT go to the grocery store the rest of the week!!  Hoping it works!

Mood: Oh boy, our little man turns 1 on Thursday!  The emotions are there and I can’t explain how amazing this last year has been!  I’ll save the rest of that for his big 1 year post!!  B is such a gift and brings us SO much joy!!

    WTG on the pushups! Oh gosh one already. It was the blink of an eye. When we were in FL I swear ice cream was a daily thing. And I’m not even sorry!
