Hi folks!

It’s time for another round of Currently…

Reading: Thanks to PopSugar, I have been reading the new the Emily Griffin book!  The best part is reading it outside at the beach on days like this!!  Seriously, I love summer!

Running: With no races on the calendar I’ve been running 3-4 days a week anywhere from 3-7 miles at a time.  Nothing crazy and the mornings here have been so foggy and gross that many of them have been on my treadmill.  No complaints though, it’s nice to be able to have the treadmill when I can’t get outside!

Non-Running Workout: The Dailey Method… duh!!!

Excitement: We are headed to Wisconsin for the week with two other families and kids!  I am SOOOO excited!!!  We are renting a big house with plenty of space to hang, play, swim, grill and relax!  I can’t wait!!

Garden Item: Everything is blooming!!  Hello squash and tomatoes!!  I also have an overgrowth of parsley!  Not sure what do with it!!  Ideas??

TV: We just started watching the series Ray Donovan which is a Showtime series.  It’s pretty good!  I really need to subscribe to Netflix so I can watch House of Cards and Orange is the New Black!

Kitchen Gadget: The Grill!!  We are grilling as much as we can and my favorite grill item is my veggie grill basket!!  I know it looks black and not pretty but it’s seasoned and makes THE BEST grilled veggies ever!

Not-So-Healthy-Indulgence: I wouldn’t really classify these as NOT so healthy but they are “treat” these days!  I was sent these samples from Barnana

The Peanut butter banana is the best!!!  So good!!  They are a yummy treat after dinner and something that we are all enjoying!  Barnana has four great flavors for you to choose from!   All Barnana products Non GMO and gluten free. Barnana bites are raw dehydrated banana bites that pack the perfect amount of flavor.  With simple ingredients, they are are awesome for packing and are great to throw in the purse when you need a little snack. These are a whole lot easier than packing a banana,  I also like the plain original bites dipped in almond butter!!

Healthy Indulgence: My farmers market is back which means my farmers market veggie burgers are back!!  Love these burgers!!!

Mood: So freaking happy!!  How can you down on days like this!

YOUR TURN! Pick something in this post and tell me about you!

  1. I didn’t know pop sugar did books. How are you enjoying it? What’s the story?

And also your garden looks lovely. I should start my own one too.

Non-running workout: This past week I did the classic, iconic CrossFit workout “Fran.”
(21-15-9 Thrusters (95lbs – men, 65lbs – women) & Pull-ups) Now, I’ve done this workout before, but never as prescribed; I’ve always scaled it. This time I did it with the prescribed weight and pullups! Sure, the workout took about twice as long as it should have, but I’m so proud of myself!

  3. Sounds like an awesome summer! I LOVE those veggie burgers. They have them at my farmer’s market, too! Missed it yesterday b/c I was working at the triathlon…

Gardening: I did not plant a veggie garden this year. However, I have three string bean plants that grew back! That was a nice surprise since those are my favorite to grow 🙂

I have that Emily Giffin book on my Nook – just need to finish the other ones I’m reading!!
Your trip to Wisconsin sounds fun. The only place I’ve ever been in Wisconsin is Kenosha – that is where cross country Nationals was when I was in college – the end of November – it was freezing every year!!!

  9. I came across a recipe for parsley hummus on the cookie and kate blog… might be a great way to use up that parsley. Also, a lot of people add parsley to green smoothies, though, I’ve never tried this. Looks like your summer is going fabulously!

Yay to summer! I love my veggie grilling basket. It’s made my husband’s grilling life so much easier 🙂

My tomato plant is taking over my garden! I think I need to replant a few things to give the tomatoes more room. Maybe. I just picked my first tomatoes yesterday 🙂
