How was your weekend? We saw 42 on Saturday and I HIGHLY recommend it to everyone! The Hubs and I loved it! Personally, I am baseball fan! Born and raised a Cub fan, I love watching baseball and when I was single I loved living in Wrigleyville (home of the Cubbies) and being able to hear the games from my apartment.
It hasn’t been so fun watching my Cubbies have horrid seasons but when you are Cub fan you learn to live in a heartbroken state when it comes to your team.
Ok, so we finally had sunshine here this weekend and while temps weren’t perfect they were better. I can’t believe we are in the final week of April and the trees are still so bare. We renewed our pool pass last week and the unofficial kick off to summer is just 5 weeks away but I’m still waiting for spring!
I got a 10 mile run on Saturday in and it felt great! It’s a solid and nice distance for a Saturday and I returned to Bikram yesterday. Not sure how I am going to fit everything in over the coming months. I’ve been running 3 times a week and doing Tabata Boot camp three times a week and close off the week with Bikram. Right now, I am working out 6 days a week with one day off but as the temps get warmer and it gets lighter earlier, I can get outside in the morning to run more often so, something will have to give. Just not sure yet.
I made this high protein vegan fiesta salad yesterday and it will be lunch for the week. I’m done with soups and I am moving onto salads and such! I’m going to make a batch of homemade LARA bars or protein balls as well! Did any of you guys prep anything yummy this weekend?
