Chocolate Protein Power Balls and PlantFusion Protein Powder Giveaway

Happy Saturday!  I’ve got a busy day ahead so I am getting right to the point!

The great folks at PlantFusion sent me a bunch of protein powder samples to try out.  I’ve been trying to move away from whey protein and have been experimenting with some vegetable based proteins lately.

Plant Fusion

PlantFusion is a nutritionally-complete plant protein supplement that happens to be highly digestible AND free of common food irritants. PlantFusion’s protein has no dairy, soy or animal products.  It’s so gentle you stomach and so easy to incorporate into your diet. IMG_3558

I’ve been  very pleased with the results so far.  I’ve used them in smoothies and last weekend I used their chocolate protein powder to make these awesome protein packed power balls!IMG_3733

Chocolate Protein Power Balls and Plant Fusion Protein Powder Giveaway

Serves: 12 balls
 
A wonderful pre-workout or post workout snack to help fuel your body!
Ingredients
  • ½ cup of pitted dates
  • 4 Tablespoons of Almond Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon of ground flax (Chia would probably work but I haven't tried it.)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon of Agave or Honey
  • 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
Instructions
  1. Soak dates in warm water for about 15 minutes
  2. Put dates in a food processor and process for about 10-15 seconds
  3. Add in the remainder of the ingredients and process until everything is mixed in
  4. Roll "dough" into balls
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  6. Pop into your mouth for a filling and protein packed snack!

    I use whey protein now and also whatever is in the CLICK protein drink. I have never used plant based protein and would love to try it!v anilla bean sounds yummy!

    I recently made homemade LaraBars from pitted dates and pecans! So simple, and I could try using the protein powder like you next time! 🙂

    Lately I’ve been using NeoCell Collagen Sport protein powder. Not my favorite due to it’s mixability, but it does the job. I heard great things about Plant Fusion protein powders and would lovelovelove to try the Cookies & Creme flavor. Thanks for the giveaway!
