Catching Up and Enjoy the Summers End…

First of all, thank you for all the wonderful comments on Friday!  I would have loved to respond to each of you, but once again exhaustion got the best of me and I was in bed or asleep on the couch by 8:30!  Yup, my life continues to be THAT exciting!!

I can’t believe we are in September!  I’ll admit that I am ready for a temperature cool down over here.  While we had a nice cool summer the heat seems to be back and I don’t love it!

I had a rather rough first trimester and I’ll go into more of that at another time.  We are incredibly excited about this pregnancy.  I’m working on a post that gives a little more detail into our history.  It’s taking me a little longer because it’s a lot to write. To give you a preview, I’ll tell you that this pregnancy came a total shock and surprise and couldn’t be more excited about this miracle!

I’m still waiting for the return of all of my energy!  When I was pregnant with Sara I had a rough 6 weeks and then I hit 12 weeks and bam… I was better!  This time around it hasn’t been so easy!

Right now I am feeling the best in the morning and have loads of energy then so I tend make the most of it!  This weekend, I got out for daily workouts and even had the chance to test out these new ASICS Gel- Pursue running shoes!  They are awesome and incredibly light!  I’m looking forward to spending some times in these and adding them to my shoe rotation!  More on these shoes in the weeks to come.

I also was given a large garden zucchini on Friday so of course I had to do some serious baking Sunday morning!   IMG_1234-0.JPG

I made a batch of gluten free zucchini bread and a batch of paleo zucchini muffins.  For the muffins I experimented and used some hazelnut flour and they are amazing!!

We made the most the most of the long weekend and spent time at the park, playing and eating!

Of course what summer night wouldn’t be complete without an amazing sunset!

Now, it’s back to the routine!  The extra day off was so needed!  What did you do this weekend?  Are you ready to say goodbye to summer?  What are you most excited about this fall??

Oh I remember the energy drain! Then suddenly out of nowhere it returns, thankfully.

I hate to wish away the year but yes I’m ready for fall. Ready for a change. I’m looking forward to perfect run weather!
