Biggest Loser Resort Stay Wrap Up and #wiaw

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It’s COLD over here as we are experiencing unseasonably cold temps!  I’m not ready for this!

My mom and I enjoyed our final day at the Biggest Loser Resort Chicago!  It was an awesome experience and one that is good for anyone!  There is always room to learn, grow and change!!

I’m linking up with Jenn at Peas and Crayons for #WIAW to feature my eats from yesterday!

Let’s start with our 5:30am wake up call to get up and get going.  My mom headed to yoga and I opted to hit the gym.

By the way, all around the BL Resort are wonderful motivational quotes and sayings… So many to love!

After 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on another new machine I met up with the group and my mom post yoga and we headed to breakfast!

Breakfast at the Biggest Loser Resort has a variety of options. I went with the gluten free granola, almond milk and chopped walnuts!  Delish and super crunchy!!

Post breakfast we began two hours of intense workouts!

First up was a 15 minute warm up on cardio equipment followed by the 45 AMARP that you see above.  The trainers gave me modifications as needed and it was an amazing fast paced class.  Immediately following AMRAP was a 45 minute dumbbell power class followed by a much needed 15 minutes of stretching!

Side note, I freaking loved boxing!!  Need to get gloves on again and do that more!!

After class I had hummus and celery and some almonds.  All snacks that the BL resort provided.

Thankfully, we had a break from the workouts and then attended a nutritional lecture until lunch time, which was great because I was starving!

Another yummy salad… lentil soup and a veggie and hummus wrap with a side of brussels!  Tons of food right?!  I was blown away by the amount of food we got all keeping in line with the 1500 daily calorie intake!

After a nice lunch my mom and I headed back down for one final treat!  We had the chance to listen to Jerry and Estella from Biggest Loser Season 7 talk about their journey.

For those who are BL fans, Jerry and Estella were the oldest contestants on the Biggest Loser and after going home pretty quickly they continued with their journey at home.  Jerry won the at home prize that season!  They all shared some of the BL secrets that you would never believe from watching at home!

It was an emotional and incredible way for my mom and I to end our time at the Biggest Loser Resort!

My mom and I both feel so lucky that we had our experience at the Biggest Loser Resort.  It taught me that there is always room for growth, change and learning!

I’m in awe the group that we spent time with.  Their dedication is amazing.  A typical full day at the resort includes about 5-6 hours of working out!

When I got home yesterday afternoon I was thrilled to see the Hubs and Sara who were enjoying a relaxing afternoon because we were all off for Veteran’s Day!

After a long hot shower I was thrilled to be in my sweats and chilling!

Dinner was a nice hot bowl of chili that I made on Sunday and some of my favorite air popped popcorn to follow!

What an awesome start to the week!  Hard to believe it’s just Wednesday but I still have lots to get done!!

Disclaimer: I was provided the opportunity to check out and be a part of the Biggest Loser Resort Chicago.  I had the most wonderful experience and all opinions are my own.

  1. Why do they make you get up so early? Does everyone have the same workout? Do the trainers yell at you? I love boxing too-doing it today actually 🙂

  2. Super cool–but I can’t imagine doing this pregnant! You are a champ!! I would probably love the food there because it is pretty much down to basics (for my digestive issues) but I would insist that they bring me ice cream, haha!

Looks fabulous! Now tell me about the other guests: were they similar to the people we see on TBL show? Not sure what type of client this is targeted to.
