A week of celebrations #MIMM

Happy Monday!

We are literally just days away from the official start of summer in our house!!  It’s been a much different spring with my maternity leave followed by the Hubs paternity leave.  He’s back at work for the final few days and I’m home with B and getting ready for week of celebrating Sara!

Growing up birthdays were never just ONE day.  Birthday’s were several days to a week of celebrating!  We even celebrated our 1/2 birthdays!

We kicked off Sara’s week of celebrating on Saturday with her birthday party with her friends!

It was about a million times easier doing it at a jump place where we just had to show up with cake, candles and cake knife!!  Last year we went all out and did a home Frozen themed party!  This was way EASIER!

Before Sara’s party I got out for a perfect Saturday morning run!  Then after a wonderful 7 miles Sara joined me outside were we ran another 1/2 together for our cool down!  It’s our new favorite thing to do after my weekend runs.

The weather was perfect on Saturday which was great because Sunday was super stormy!!  We continued our weekend of celebrating on Sunday with my mom!  She has a big milestone birthday this week too!!  It’s always fun that my mom and Sara share a birthday week.  It just makes June that much more special!

A stormy afternoon on Sunday actually allowed me to do some food prep for week 2 of The 30!!

It felt good just get a few things done while Ben napped and Sara played with some of her new presents.  The weather for the week looks like summer so I am hoping to get some grilling done!

What did you do this weekend?

Do you celebrate birthdays all week or month long??

  1. My daughter always seems to stretch her birthday out to a whole week or 2 every year as well. Fun! Have a great week

  2. Sounds like a fun weekend! How long do your zoodles last in the tupperware? Mine get slimy pretty quick…

Happy birthday to Sara and your mom! I’m with you on the “easy” party. Thing 1 graduated last week and has her birthday this month and I cringe to think about having the number of kids she wants to invite to the party in the house.
