A long weekend of playing, eating, swimming, prepping, cleaning and more!

Happy Tuesday!  Kind of nice that we are already at Tuesday!  I took the day off from blogging yesterday because who really wants to sit in front of their computer when it’s wonderful  and beautiful out!  Did you all enjoy the long weekend?  We did so much over here and got so much done because we hardly had any Labor Day plans.


I didn’t run long on Saturday.  I packed up a bag and went to the gym for the second time!

It was not nearly as fun as running for an hour but I got on a cross trainer for an hour at the gym.  The best part was that it was pain-free.  I took advantage of the using the weight machines after to do all sorts of leg and glute exercises!  I’m going back to the Y today for more cardio and weights!

My friend and I tackled a major project Saturday afternoon and re-organized my pantry and spice cabinet.  I should have taken before pictures but I just have the finished look. Let me tell you how much I love it!  I can now see and find everything in my pantry!  The Hubs was thrilled when I told him I wanted to do this over the weekend because he loves all things clean and organized!

I had so many bags of spices from Whole Foods and now everything is neat and organized and has a place!  Thanks to my good friend, Bed Bath and Beyond and the Container Store!  This is just the first task of things that I am planning to tackle this month!

I had lots of time in the kitchen to food prep and cook and got lots of the foods made that I mentioned on Friday.  I also had some time on Sunday to prep for the holiday on Thursday!  You can see that one of my tasks is matzo balls!

This picture doesn’t even do justice to the amount of food that wad produced over the long weekend!  Lots of incredibly yummy and tasty dishes.  The Hubs even enjoyed the healthy take on raw key lime pie cheesecake!  That was a crowd favorite for sure!

We closed out summer with a final dip in the pool on Sunday!  Did you make it to the pool this weekend?  On Monday we went plenty of places but didn’t get in our cars once!  It was the perfect day filled with long walks, friends, family, parks and more!  Today kicks off our busy Tuesday of classes at the Y!  It’s going to be a go go go kind of day!

    Funny, I made my matzo balls too yesterday!
    I was also inspired to prep some snacks, made a few “snack balls”, they’re amazing! Thanks for the inspiration!

    Love the organized pantry & spices – I’m kind of a organizational freak!!!
    Thankfully even though the pools are closed here we can still go to the lake – as long as the weather holds I’m hoping to enjoy several more weeks of sun!!

  5. You don’t have to stuggle for losing weight anymore with speedy diets you are able to lose approximately 9 lbs and also week to have the off.
