36 week Bump Update

Happy Friday!  I’m wondering how many more of these updates I am going to do before this baby comes… 1.. maybe 2… who knows?!?!  Let’s get to the update

How far along: 36 weeks= 4 weeks left=28 days to go!!

Excuse the poor lighting in the photo… it was the best I could do!

Due Date:  February 13, 2015

Total weight gain: 21 pounds.  I’ve been holding steady at the same weight for about 4 weeks.  The doctors aren’t worried because the baby is growing.  It’s probably due to the fact that my appetite has really decreased because I have such bad acid reflux.

Sleep: Oh Sleep… I miss you– I may not see you for quite some time.  I get into bed around 9pm and between 9 am 3 I get up 2-3 times.  Once 3am rolls around I tend to be awake until about 4:30 or 5am and then I fall back asleep until 6:00.  Mornings are HARD!

Exercise:  Gone are the days of 5am workouts!  It’s not happening but I am still getting to the gym 3-4 days a week if I can go both days on the weekend!  At the gym I use the elliptical for 30-40 minutes and then do weights for 10-20 minutes along with some stretches!  At 36 weeks I’m thrilled that I can still get a decent workout it!

Miss anything: My brain!  Seriously!  It’s turned to mush.  I lose things left and right and really I don’t lose them… they are just right in front of me.  Yesterday morning I was making eggs for Sara for breakfast and instead pouring milk into the eggs, I poured it right into the pan.  The other night I put frozen veggies in the fridge instead of the freezer and then noticed it the next morning!

Movement: All the times and often it’s a bit painful.  Kicks and rolls will sometimes take my breath away.

Food cravings:  This week it’s been green beans and pineapple.  I wish I could explain… but I am going with it!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Unfortunately, most meals leave me feeling a bit sick afterwards but it’s not stopping me from eating.  I do the small frequent snacking and that kind of helps.  The acid reflux/GERD just gets worse as the day goes on.

Belly Button In or Out – Out- 100%

Wedding Rings – on or off? Still ON– no swelling at this point!

Stretch Marks: Nope!  Thank you coconut oil

Happy or Moody? Happy, excited and a bit anxious.  I remember thinking that January would go by slowly but it’s more then 1/2 over and it’s going by so fast.  While we can’t wait to be a family of four, we are truly enjoying what time we have left as a threesome!  Big and exciting changes are coming SO soon but for now I love my girl time with my little lady who is growing up SO FAST!

Gender:  Still feeling girl… I love not knowing… it makes the end that much more fun!

Labor Signs:  Daily Braxton Hicks and they are becoming a bit stronger but not nothing major.  I’m at the doctor every week now  for non stress tests.  As time consuming as appointments are now I can’t complain about listening to the little ones heart beat for an extended period of time.

Anything Else:  I’ve actually been getting a few things done and with a long weekend ahead, I am excited about getting more stuff done.  The bedding is in and this weekend is all about washing, organizing and cleaning and loading up the freezer more!

Looking Forward To: A 3 day weekend… getting some things crossed off the baby “to do” list and a date night on Sunday… hopefully a movie too!

What are you up to this weekend?

I’ll be back Monday or Tuesday depending on how much fun we have this weekend.

  1. AS I read this post while I’m getting ready for work, I’m chuckling inside. There’s a possiblility you won’t even be early. I’m certain you can’t even fathom that possibility What a gift this pregnancy has been for your family.
I’m also cracking up at all the food prep b/c reading you’d think you’re an eater While you do love your food, you’re not a voracious eater. And, remember the days you didn’t even cook much & asked so many questions b/c you had to measure out everything!!!! Amazing what a few years has brought. So happy for you. Enjoy your date night. If I were a guessing gal, I’d guess we’re going to make it to lunch & you’ve got a few weeks left. If I were a betting girl :).

  3. You’re rocking it at 36weeks! Way to go! I’m 21 weeks now, and I’m HOPING that I can still be in the gym 3-4 weeks by the time the end of this pregnancy rolls around. I can’t wait to hear about the last few weeks of your pregnancy and meet your little one (my guess is still girl too)!

Looking good! I feel your pain about waking up 2-3 times a night to pee. Last night I went from 9pm-4am without getting up and I was impressed!
